Notes:

- worked on this on and off since Saturday afternoon, stopping about an hour ago since I need to buy purple thread tomorrow before continuing XD
- white, black, and purple peach skin fabric used for the jacket, I already have black knit for the skirt
- sewing the purple parts? easy peasy! figuring out the damn sailor collar? FUCKING FORGET IT. I'm an idiot and somehow manged to throw away the pattern piece, so I had to make my own. u___u
- all that black trim on the collar? made by hand, because I'm anal retentive about all the fabric matching and it probably ate up 1/3 of my time so far. lol
- you can't see the color difference between the fabric at all, so hopefully I'll be able to take better comparison shots tomorrow before work. at least you can see the difference in texture?
- first costume I've tried facing the neckline to help hide the ugly ends of the sailor collar, it's not perfect... but it looks a helluva lot nicer now!
- what's left to do? iron down the collar some more, add the cuffs, hem up the front and sides!

Aww man, about half of my paycheck went straight to paying credit card bills and utilities, then about $400 from my next paycheck has to go toward paying another credit card. Then I'm going to turn around and use it to get Albel fixed, he's been marking things he shouldn't be like spots under our bed, and he seriously needs to calm the fuck down if he's moving with us. I know my mom's not too thrilled about us bringing him and having a cat in her apartment for a while, but she's never been fond of me having pets in general when I was growing up aside from fish. >___> I dunno what else... period, let's get this over with already, and I'm really not looking forward to Tuesdays now as we have to work 7am - 7pm shifts from now on. AWESOME. Only 4 more weeks of this crap? Fuck.

lol I sewed the jacket 2 years ago, had all intentions of wearing it to AWA that year but I could never find a base wig to my liking, and I hate custom dyeing anything. ^^;; I forgot I bought a white turtleneck to modify for this costume, it's stuffy and uncomfortable to wear, so I ended up switching shirts for these test pictures. ^^;; The skirt's from my wardrobe, thigh highs were purchased 2 years ago (these will be replaced as well!), and base shoes purchased from Payless. I know it's hard to tell apart the black from purple colors, and I have the skirt pulled up a bit so it rides up my ass (lol accuracy), but it's also hard to tell because of the mirror being at an angle. Again, these are just test pictures to give you an idea, progress is definitely coming up this weekend!

I slept in a good chunk of the day yesterday, and managed to get maybe 2 hours of sleep last night. e.e I'm dead tired already as I've been up all day, I'm rather proud of myself for not napping so hopefully that'll mean in the next hour or so I'll crash and get a solid 8-9 hours of sleep for once as Tuesday's always the most hectic day of the week. >___> I kept myself busy by doing some laundry, and I cleaned off my sewing desk and machine (so many dust bunnies!! D:) so it's good to go once all my materials are in!

idk what else... did I mention how tired I am? I just want the weekend to roll by already, so I can pay the rest of my bills, and stop worrying about stuff magically clearing into my account when I have no money. lol Wachovia doesn't play around when it comes to their overdraft fees. :|

- the weather really was bleak and dreary, so walking in such a bright costume amused me
- I've gotten better when it comes to posing as Allenby, but Anemone? not quite yet *sigh*

- I didn't think about doing the "headache" poses until well after the photoshoot, oh well

- I remade the collar for this~ now it's not so bulky, but stuck to the wig like crazy as you can see the last half of pics aaaaaaaargh
- I need another wig, specifically one that's long all around. :| I'm not sure whether to stay with pink pink, or try dark pink (which might be more flattering for my skin tone)
- the cute shoes killed my feet yet again
- and I'm not ever taking off my engagement ring for cosplay pictures, ever :D
- I hope that starting next year I'll have colored contacts + eyebrows for all my costumes
- up next? IM IN UR FRIDGE, EATIN UR FOODZ and pilot suit versions sometime next year because I love Anemone so much

I had a fun little photoshoot with Rob a.k.a. isamu85 of Black Goblin Snapshots, who had my photos ready on a CD the next day! O___O I'm so glad that I finally have some great photos of my Allenby costume, I can't wait to post these like, every where else. lol

- the shoe straps still kinda fail :| I need to find a better way to attach them, or completely redo my shoe covers

- no colored eyebrows (the elmers glue trick just doesn't work for me 0___o) or contacts this year, hopefully next year?
- the wig held up great, though one of the longer side pieces started to uh, un-spike itself by the end of the night. XD
- bra straps dug into my shoulders like hell as I had them criss crossed ;___; thankfully, they went away in the morning so it wasn't visible when I wore Anemone
- btw, I doubt anyone could tell but I used these babies to help with boobage lol worth every penny~

- despite the rain on Saturday, I had a fun time doing my photoshoots!

- Mecha Fest, though not as enjoyable as last year's
- lines for registration were non existent!
- dude who recognized David's Gyan shirt, and they went into this whole UC Gundam discussion lol
- seeing mostflogged working in the Dealers Room, who complimented me on my Anemone costume X3
- meeting Feez and Sentenal from ANWO and talking until they kicked us out of the galleria
- aoi_no_tenshi finding me on Saturday and getting a pic with her!! :3
- It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia!! KITTEN MITTENS COMMERCIAL

The Bad:
- David was sick all weekend D:

Oh, the wig poufs on top for some reason, so I need to fix that, I hope generous amounts of Aqua Net will do the trick. I'm really not going to have time to sew anything else in time for AX, but at least this way I can concentrate on David's costume even though it'll be worn for maybe 2 hours at most for the Hetalia gathering. lol =/

I'm eating some ice cream, then going to bed. I have mail to send out in the morning, and have to buy the stupid button starter pack for the 5/8" buttons I bought. All for that stupid white plastic thing. *mumbles* Ugh, I'm not ready for this fuuuuuuuuuck.

QUBELEY HEAD.

Wow, hand painting shit sucks ass. I still need to add a top coat, and attach fabric to the back so it'll stick to my neck better (with tape or something). I haven't quite figured out that part yet haha, hopefully my idea works though. .___. I don't think it's too bad for my first time using Paperclay, so it will definitely be remade uh, someday.

I finished David's jacket, I'm not 100% happy with it but it'll do for now, it just kinda sucks that I found the perfect material to work with after I finished sewing the goddamn thing. I was going to make the beret out of the same material, but it's not ideal for berets so we'll have to buy one instead... twill jacket + wool beret won't look too bad, right? I was going to start on his Sweden trench coat thinking I had the material on hand, but when I was cleaning up the closet earlier it was no where to be found. D: I did find a light blue twill, but I could've sworn I had navy blue in there dammit.

I've been listening to a lot of Deftones, Smashing Pumpkins, Garbage, and Radiohead (just to name a few, haha) lately. My high school life is haunting me again, nearly 10 years later WTF MAN. D:

I admit, I was a bit nervous doing this even though we were in our patio, which is kinda enclosed... doing this mini photoshoot gave David and I a much needed break from all the bs that's been going on this weekend, we both had fun too! ^^ I really wish we had a nicer camera, it's always such a hassle trying to figure out the right setting, and it's really picky with lighting, not to mention it eats batteries by the ton!

Anyway, the only 'shopping done was my David, adjusting the saturation of the pictures slightly that the average person probably wouldn't be able to tell. lol I'm not wearing make up, can't you tell? XD I really don't care either, I hate wearing that shit unless it's for cons or something and well, I don't know anyone I could really ask about this kinda stuff who lives around here (seeing as Amy, David's sister is rarely home these days) who could go make up shopping with me. :( Speaking of which, I need to get new stuff for AX and toss out all of my old shit... which is like, everything in my make up bag. >___<

HOOOKAY SO HETALIA POOL PHOTOSHOOT FOR AX, WHO'S IN~ and mikecabusi as our photog?? :3 :3 :3 I was kinda joking around about it in a previous entry, I didn't know some of you guys would actually be interested. lol XD I'd really love to do a beach photoshoot, but I'm not sure if David and I will have the time to when we're on vacation... plus if it's at AX at least everyone will be there for sure, yknow? My Anemone dress is 50%-ish done, at least all the orange and red bands are sewn on and it's really starting to come together now! I'm so happy! ;___; Wow, I should probably be sleeping, and wtf why do I smell eggrolls all of a sudden?

lol as if I didn't have enough motivation to get Eureka Seven stuff done, the other day I was pleasantly surprised to see that TwiliteSea, Cepia, and KagomeChann posted comments on my Anemone shoes!! EEEEEEEEEEEEE *___* I've admired their Eureka Seven costumes (wheee, I bought KagomeChann's old costume as a base for amandier's as you all know~), and well... as cosplayers since forever now? lol Why do I have this feeling that tenousei is going to make fun of me for mentioning all this as he's friends with all 3 of them...?? lol DX

- obviously not 100% accurate, but I like them~ I was also worried that they might've not held up well if I modded them to be 100% accurate to Anemone's
- the inside and bottom of the soles still have to be covered, but I'm leaving it for now until I get the dress done
- approximately 10 hours work time, 1/2 of which was spent making "patterns," and maybe 1/4 waiting for the glue to dry in between
- e6000 glues a helluva lot faster than I'd like it to :(
- taking pictures pointed at the mirror was definitely something, haha
- I FEEL LIKE A GIANT IN THESE SHOES LOL
- no but seriously, I think these shoes make me just a tad over 5' now

Yesterday at work wasn't too bad, but I ended up crashing almost immediately once we got home at around 10pm... then I slept for about 12 hours straight. @_@ Craziness. I'm well rested at least, don't have to work until the afternoon tomorrow, I get paid on Friday, and I have the weekend off again yayness. :3 I hope I get Monday off again too, that would be super.

- 4 markers used to color the wig, though I bought a 5th marker for on the spot touch ups
- hair clips are made using silver base bobby pins, gold vinyl glued onto craft foam
- I think it took me about an hour to get those fucking pins on the wig =/
- 4 different lighting sources, so you'll have a good idea of what it looks like either way lol
- 2 hours to hand sew all 18 buttons
- the silver "clasps" in front attach via velcro
- sleeve patch is vinyl, vinyl, vinyl, attached to the fabric using carpet tape (no worries, it's pretty stuck on there) XD;;
- I thought about gluing, but then it might not be hand wash friendly
- I've spent about a month working on the costume
- shipping this baby out sometime this week, yay

Wii Fit said I have a BMI of 17.7, and I'm underweight wtf. D: D: D: I guess I don't feel so bad about eating so much this weekend? lol aaand now it's time for me to go butcher some shoes. >:3

- I picked out these shoes because of the ankle strap, and semi-chunky heel! I didn't want anything in a bigger heel because I'd like to wear this costume all day
- I'm taking some creative liberties with the shoe design, I'm actually really excited to get started lol
- the shoes are little big for my feet, so I'm hoping that if I add some padding it'll be more comfortable to wear (I'll also be adding some gel/pad insoles~)

No handy dandy notes this time, as it's not 100% complete just yet (fabric has to be added on the inside to make it look prettyful~). :3 I'm not really happy with how they turned not, mostly the gap I didn't realize would happen on either side of the black part... oh well, looks much better than using a fucking styrofoam ring or some shit.

I literally slept all day on Saturday, I'm going to blame it on the weather as it really made me not want to do anything 'cept sleep. ;___; We watched Watchmen later that evening with some friends, now I need to find the time to read the graphic novel I've had sitting on my comp for some time. lol I spent most of Sunday trying to figure out the fucking collar while talking to amandier on MSN, finally got something that worked on the third fucking try wtf. >___< I also made it up to episode 70 of LoGH, I'm still 20 behind David, but I have no doubt we'll be able to finish it before his birthday on the 13th. lol

- the dress is accurately short, nearly rides my ass and I'm 4'10" so umm, amandier I think you may want to wear boy shorts underneath + pantyhose or lengthen the bottom a tad (I'll send you the matching fabric when I have all this stuff together)

We just wanted to play some fucking RockBand last night but noooooo, either the vocals or drums would be spot on, and the other would have considerable lag. I think we spent at least an hour messing with it until giving up, David said it's probably the fact that it's running through HDMI instead of component cables. I DON'T KNOW. I love Pcell's elite sexiness, but crap like this really makes me miss Heat, not to mention we have to download all of our songs again.

- I completely redid all the blue parts on the left boot
- materials used include vinyl in white and aquamarine), carpet tape, black duct tape, e6000, glue stick, interfacing, blue masking tape
- tools used include HB pencil, yard stick, ruler, sewing machine (for sewing the white base boot cover)
- all this is, is just a lot of careful measuring, really. o___o
- the blue parts aren't completely flat in some parts (like it puckers or something?) but again, one of those things that's barely noticable to anyone 'cept myself as I'm my own worst critic *sighs*
- aside from that, I'm proud of how these turned out especially since I redid the first boot!

- I sort of wanna make some kinda tutorial, but idk goes back to that whole "people are ungrateful assholes" thing going on a few weeks back

btw, I think owldepot would make a fantastic Talho, Y/Y? :3 :3 :3 I'm trying to find more cosplayers for our little Eureka Seven group at AX, with not much luck... I've posted something at the cos.com forums, but anytime I start browsing it it makes me want to headdesk every 5 seconds from having to read retarded posts. :D so, if any of you guys are interested, or know someone who might be, send me a message~

Notes:
- made with lots of left over vinyl from my Ibis costume ^^;;
- about 1 yard of aquamarine vinyl, random silver vinyl scraps
- held together using copious amounts of carpet tape, and minimal sewing
- zipper on the bottom (which will be covered by my arm when I'm holding it)
- stuffed with a big bag of polyfill, 20 oz I think?
- googly eyes purchased from work a.k.a. Hobby Lobby
- I tried taking step-by-step progress pics, and got fed up halfway lol
- GUESS WHAT I USED AS A BASIS FOR THE PATTERN. GUESS. IT'S ALMOST IN ALL OF THE PROGRESS PICS.

I think that's it, there really wasn't that much too it 'cept finding the time within the past 2 weeks to work on it. =x I'll get to test run it at Momocon in a few weeks for the Hetalia gathering, yay~

David sent me flowers!!! u___u He tried to have some sent on Monday for our monthsary thingie, but there were complications and they couldn't get the flowers in on time, so instead he had them sent today on my day off! I was really surprised as no one's ever sent me flowers, so now I have a bunch of hot pink tulips sitting by my desk~ I felt like a dumbass answering the door, I was like,"wait what... these are for me?" ahahaha XD AWW THEY ARE SO PRETTY I LOVE IT.
