- worked on this on and off since Saturday afternoon, stopping about an hour ago since I need to buy purple thread tomorrow before continuing XD
- white, black, and purple peach skin fabric used for the jacket, I already have black knit for the skirt
- sewing the purple parts? easy peasy! figuring out the damn sailor collar? FUCKING FORGET IT. I'm an idiot and somehow manged to throw away the pattern piece, so I had to make my own. u___u
- all that black trim on the collar? made by hand, because I'm anal retentive about all the fabric matching and it probably ate up 1/3 of my time so far. lol
- you can't see the color difference between the fabric at all, so hopefully I'll be able to take better comparison shots tomorrow before work. at least you can see the difference in texture?
- first costume I've tried facing the neckline to help hide the ugly ends of the sailor collar, it's not perfect... but it looks a helluva lot nicer now!
- what's left to do? iron down the collar some more, add the cuffs, hem up the front and sides!

Aww man, about half of my paycheck went straight to paying credit card bills and utilities, then about $400 from my next paycheck has to go toward paying another credit card. Then I'm going to turn around and use it to get Albel fixed, he's been marking things he shouldn't be like spots under our bed, and he seriously needs to calm the fuck down if he's moving with us. I know my mom's not too thrilled about us bringing him and having a cat in her apartment for a while, but she's never been fond of me having pets in general when I was growing up aside from fish. >___> I dunno what else... period, let's get this over with already, and I'm really not looking forward to Tuesdays now as we have to work 7am - 7pm shifts from now on. AWESOME. Only 4 more weeks of this crap? Fuck.

lol I sewed the jacket 2 years ago, had all intentions of wearing it to AWA that year but I could never find a base wig to my liking, and I hate custom dyeing anything. ^^;; I forgot I bought a white turtleneck to modify for this costume, it's stuffy and uncomfortable to wear, so I ended up switching shirts for these test pictures. ^^;; The skirt's from my wardrobe, thigh highs were purchased 2 years ago (these will be replaced as well!), and base shoes purchased from Payless. I know it's hard to tell apart the black from purple colors, and I have the skirt pulled up a bit so it rides up my ass (lol accuracy), but it's also hard to tell because of the mirror being at an angle. Again, these are just test pictures to give you an idea, progress is definitely coming up this weekend!

I slept in a good chunk of the day yesterday, and managed to get maybe 2 hours of sleep last night. e.e I'm dead tired already as I've been up all day, I'm rather proud of myself for not napping so hopefully that'll mean in the next hour or so I'll crash and get a solid 8-9 hours of sleep for once as Tuesday's always the most hectic day of the week. >___> I kept myself busy by doing some laundry, and I cleaned off my sewing desk and machine (so many dust bunnies!! D:) so it's good to go once all my materials are in!

idk what else... did I mention how tired I am? I just want the weekend to roll by already, so I can pay the rest of my bills, and stop worrying about stuff magically clearing into my account when I have no money. lol Wachovia doesn't play around when it comes to their overdraft fees. :|

Holy shit man, I'm getting 34-35+ hours now and not getting yelled at when I'm over? :O more hours = more money, but that also means I have zero free time now. *sigh* Wow, it's kinda scary (?) knowing that in 2 months David's going to be a college graduate officially on the 11th of December! I have 2-3 pay periods left until I leave my job, or about 5-6 weeks, while we planned on me not having to work at all during the month of November, some unexpected and unavoidable bills came up. :| Umm, not much else going on here... I managed to squeeze $20 for some loli Haman base shoes and materials (good thing I have plenty of black fabric to work with already!), so maybe some progress soon? I miss sewing and working on cosplay stuff now, of course it conveniently happens when I don't have money to buy fabric and materials, heh.

Ugh, tomorrow is going to be a long day, 12 pm - close, which could mean either 9pm or later depending how long it takes to get the stupid ads up for next week because I work with (mostly) a bunch of Slowkings when it comes to doing ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING IN THAT GODDAMN STORE. I've been so physically drained this entire week, a combination of really long work hours + not getting 7-8 hours of solid sleep per night has made me prone to near fainting spells since Tuesday (but it doesn't matter as long as I can still run the register, right?). :|

I'm a bit amused (?) that someone posted my Allenby on /m/, and d'awwed that someone mentioned me in one of the tripfag threads the other day. I've rarely browsed /m/ since the beginning of the year, and haven't posted under my trip since forever so it's kinda nice to be remembered, I guess.

Enjoying my birthday "get together" and had a nice dinner at Shane's, a local place that serves fan-fucking-tastic barbeque that's better than Tony Roma's imo. I had ice cream cake, and now we're going to play Apples to Apples (while drinking? lol), and possibly some RockBand if I can manage to get people to play, that is. :B I mean seriously, it's like pulling teeth at times. *sigh* Anyway, real update soon, hi hello to all my new friends from the Deadman Wonderland friending meme~ I still need to do some kinda intro post for you guys. lol

Manager person gave me Thursday - Saturday off, even though I said I could work the morning shift on Thursday? *shrug* I'm a bit worried about who's going to do the order for my department, but yknow what, at this point... fuck it. Our DM unexpectedly dropped by the other day to do a fucking stock test, when we weren't due for in until another 2 weeks at least, and grilled my Manager on some shit in my department that I haven't been able to get to because I've had several other things to attend to first. I know what needs to be done in my department, kthnx and he would've thrown an even bigger fit if I didn't complete my relays and project memos above everything else first. PRIORITIZING IS BAD? I HAD NO IDEA I WILL JUST DO THINGS HAPHAZARDLY FROM NOW ON OKAY.

Ok, so like con stuff, Imagawa's canceled as a guest (they gave no specific reason why) so now I don't feel so bad about not being able to even start on David's costume. Plus, it gets really freaking hot inside the Waverly so I guess it's sort of a good thing? ^^;; I can tolerate wearing an uncomfortable costume for long periods of time, but David? Definitely not, especially when you add batshit insane fangirls into the mix. XD I am an idiot and we missed online prereg, but we'll be arriving sometime in the late afternoon to early evening on Thursday, and at least registration is open until 10pm that night! I know it can't be as bad as having to wait OUTSIDE to pick up our goddamn badges at AX this year... panel wise there isn't anything too terribly interesting, and the video room schedules have yet to be posted so it looks like the con will be a lot of hanging out in the balconies, making fun of people in the lobby. XD Hmm, maybe karaoke on Saturday? I keep saying I want to do karaoke at a con, but just never got around to it. lol

Wow, work's been kicking my ass this week, thank god after tomorrow I have Sunday and Monday off, as it's Labor Day. I really don't mind working Saturdays anyway, I just hate having to put new sales signs up, which is really annoying. @_@ I managed to get my order done, finish my change/deletes (clearanced items and price changes), and get all of my sendouts (non orderable items, and just shit the warehouse sends to the store) out of the stockroom in about 4-5 hours all together. I was out of there by 1pm, and to give you an idea it takes most people their entire shift just to do their order alone. I just had to get out of there, I'm tired of being the backup cashier and expected to do a million other things, but it's no use bringing it up to management as they don't want to hear any of it. I'm really glad to see that they care. :|

Anyway, 2 weeks until AWA? Of course, the one pattern that I absolutely needed was backordered, though I didn't find out until I received the other patterns I ordered in the mail on what? Tuesday I think it was. THANKS GUYS. I can try to make due with the pattern I used for Sweden's trench coat, but I'd like to have less seams for Schwarz, which will take some super pattern modifying. My Allenby wig and wefts are in too, but I worry that the color might be too light or not turquoise enough? Holding it up to my RAH DX figure, it's nearly spot on but looks a tad light depending on the lighting. >___<

I really don't know why the fucking school (or any of the schools for that matter) make some effort to notify us in advance of what shit students are gonna come in and buy since we're only allowed to keep so much in stock at any time. I wasted 30 minutes helping a student who was with her mom trying to find stupid drawing pencils because we didn't have a set of the exact pencils she needed, and just individual ones sold in a package of 2, starting at $1.59. I checked all the backtags and kept telling them WE DON'T SELL 8B PENCILS, IT'S 2H THROUGH 6B TAKE YOUR PICK AND GODDAMN IT YOU BITCH STOP TEXTING I'M TRYING TO HELP YOU YOU'RE THE ONE WHO NEEDS THIS SHIT, NOT ME AND YOU CAN GTFO OUT OF MY STORE FOR ALL I CARE. and hello, fellow employees the only erasers I carry in my department are the dinky kiddie ones, so I don't know why the fuck you're sending people up front to look for me
for stupid kneaded erasers when they were in the right department just a minute ago (that being Arts and Hobbies). It pissed me off even more when said customers told me,"well they said it was in your department!" and proceed to roll their eyes at me BITCH I WILL CUT YOU MY DEPARTMENT IS CRAFTS, NOT ARTS AND HOBBIES.

The best one was the oil sticks guy. Yes oil sticks, and yes that's the first time I've heard of it too. On the upside, one art student returned some $70.00 huge ass portfolio carrying case thingie (seriously, I can almost fit in it haha) because the strap broke. BECAUSE THE STRAP BROKE. Art student = creativity and ingenuity, or so I thought. =/ It would take you all of a few minutes to fix it yourself if you just sewed the damn thing back on. After the girl got her refund, our manager on duty for the evening asked if I wanted it, otherwise we'd just throw it out... it's not sitting in my living room, I dunno what the hell I'm gonna do it with but hey, it was free!

tl;dr I fucking hate GSU art students now, with a few exceptions like the oil sticks guy.

Another fun filled day of drama a.k.a. work from 10am-6pm (am I not allowed to work normal shifts anymore, or what?), Wal-Mart run for necessities we forgot to pick up yesterday, evening nap from 7pm-10pm ish, followed by me just laying around in bed for 2 hours or so because of a fucking tension headache. Oh yeah, and our internet has been fucking retarded the past 2 days, and today it decided to not work ALL FUCKING DAY until 2 hours ago. AWESOME. =/ I still have a headache, I feel like throwing up, and after finally being able to check my internet stuff, after everything's cleared into my account I'll have $30 to live on until I get paid again next Friday.
